GENERAL QUESTIONS:
Is photography allowed during a performance?
Cameras and recording devices are not permitted to be used in the auditorium at any time. Penalties my apply, and unauthorised photos or recordings must be deleted. Some events may allow photography (no flash) and will announce this.
Do I have to turn off my mobile phone?
Yes, as a curtesy to all patrons and as respect to the performer(s), please remember to switch your phones off or to flight mode.
Can I take food and drink into the auditorium?
Food cannot be taken into the auditorium, unless it is a cabaret style event (chairs/tables).
Drinks are permitted in the auditorium, and we ask patrons to be careful of spillages and to discard of their rubbish in the bins provided.
Can I take a pram into the auditorium?
Prams are not permitted in the auditorium. They can be left in the foyer in a suitable and safe place.
How long before the show do I need to arrive?
You should be here no late than 15 minutes before the advertised time.
Latecomers will not be admitted until there is a suitable creak in the show, if at all, and admission is at the discretion of the FOH manager.
The Civic Centre opens 60 minutes prior to the performance or event start time. The bar / kiosk is open during this time.
Is there a bar?
Yes. Our bar / kiosk offers a selection of beer, wine, water, non-alcoholic beverages, chips & lollies.
Is there parking at the Civic Centre?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking available at the Civic Centre. Parking is available off Council Place, or a small car park is available off Andrew St.
You can also park over the road in the Shire of Esperance public car park at night.

Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the following box office site locations during their business opening hours:
- Civic Centre Box Office, Council Pl.
- Shire of Esperance Administration, Council Pl.
- Esperance Library, Windich St.
- Esperance Visitors Centre, Cnr Dempster & Kemp St.
The Civic Centre Box Office is open 1 hour before show starting time.
E-ticket – You should receive an email with your ticket PDF attached no later than 24 hours after purchase. You may choose to print them at home or keep the tickets on your mobile device as you will need to show your tickets when you enter the venue.
Can I exchange my ticket?
If the show you’ve booked to see has more than one performance, we’ll always try to exchange your ticket where possible. Tickets can only be exchanged for another performance of the same show. Please contact the Civic Centre if you need to exchange your tickets at CivicCentre@esperance.wa.gov.au
Can I get a refund?
Tickets for all events are non-refundable once purchased. Refunds will only be offered should the show be cancelled
Do you accept Companion Cards?
Yes. Esperance Civic Centre is an affiliate of the WA Companion Card program, providing Companion Card holders a second ticket for their carer at no extra cost (selected shows). Companion Card tickets can be booked online, over the phone, or in person at the box office.
Can my child sit on my knee?
For most shows, children under the age of two are allowed to be nursed by a parent or guardian and children over the age of two are required to purchase a seat. However, for some shows, children over the age of one are required to purchase a ticket, so please check details on the ticketing website.
We ask you to be aware of the patrons seated behind you when nursing an infant to ensure the view is not obstructed.
